I. Description of main duties and responsibilities:
Under the authority of the Chief Transport Officer, or his designated representative, the incumbent will perform the following duties:
• Manages temporary vehicle requirements;
• Controls the issuance and monitoring of fuel coupons and update fuel data accordingly;
• Maintains office files for easy extraction of data as required;
• Responsible for the attendance and movement of drivers;
• Assists in processing trip tickets.
• Assists in preparing the mission driving orientation briefing.
• Assists in preparing and conducting written driving tests.
• Assists in conducting practical driving tests.
• Updates a detailed database of UN staff being assessed, tested and issued UN permits
• Assists in preparing UN driving permits for issue.
• Compiles monthly insurance and accident reports.
• Generates reports from the electronic vehicle monitoring system (EVMS) & Fleet Log and other reports if required.
• Perform other related tasks and ad-hoc assignment as directed by the CTO or delegated.

III. Qualifications and Requirements:
Education : High school diploma or equivalent, technical or vacational certificate.
Experience : 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in transport or logistics operations within the UN system
Proficiency in computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc.)
Must be in possession of valid national vehicle driving license category “C” is a requirement. Candidate should be in position of having driving license C category as requirement.
Language: Fluency in English and Portuguese (both oral and written) is required. Knowledge of another UN language is desirable.
Preference will be given to equally qualified women candidates.
