UNIOGBIS invites candidates for the position highlighted above. Description of Main Duties:
Under the supervision of the Chief Medical Officer, the selected candidate will be responsible for the following duties (these duties are generic):
- Undertake day-to-day clinical duties, e.g. walk-in clinic, emergencies calls 24/7;
- Undertake day-to-day occupational health duties: pre-placement and periodic medical examinations prepare UN staff for travelling providing immunizations, malaria prophylaxis, travel kits, etc;
- Refer staff to local and outside specialists as necessary;
- Follow-up with local and outside specialists;
- Provide health education and health promotion programs;
- Participate in addressing work environment and occupational health issues;
General:
- Perform other related duties as required;
- He/she will support the CMO with the local health care facilities when is needed;
- He/she will cover the duties of MO during holidays, leaves, sick leaves, etc;

Qualifications and Requirements:
Education:
Degree from a recognized university/school. National registration and license are required.
Experience:
A minimum of eight (8) years of progressive responsible experience in medical field. Experience in emergencies is a requirement.
Language:
Fluent in oral and written English and Portuguese.
